THE HISTORY.... 

DJ John Morales was born in the Bronx and has been involved in the creation of hit records for the better part of 30 years, playing at historic NYC spots like Stardust Ballroom, Pippins, Bentleys, Limelight and the infamous Studio 54.

John ventured into the studio more through need than necessity, making medleys and remixes because the records in those days were too short and being a DJ, he needed to get more out of the records he was spinning.

Then, as half of M+M productions, he became one of the first DJ’s to make his name as a producer. M+M refashioned certified pop smashes for hundreds of acts in an eight year period that saw them almost ever present on the Billboard Dance, R&B or Hot 100 pop charts.

Over the past few years, John Morales has completed 3 incredible compilations for the highly respected British label BBE. Few can match his contributions to the world of Dance Music be it soul, funk, disco to today’s house music. 

Today, John continues to work his re-edit magic and has just released an album of new 12 inch versions for Motown. He’s also a fantastic DJ capable of riding from modern house music to strutting, heartbreaking disco in an instant. John Morales is considered one of the true legends of the mix. And his work some thirty years later continues to be cutting edge and inspiring.
