ACCLAIMED CANADIAN ARTIST IS COMING TO VIETNAM

Following the recent success of the first ever Saigon International Music Week, the Loud Minority vehicle is back in motion for 2015 with one of 2014’s brightest success stories, Mac DeMarco, set to hit the Cargo stage on 20th January.

While the blissful guitar pop of Viceroy first brought DeMarco to mainstream ears, the release of DeMarco’s sophomore solo effort, Salad Days earlier this year was met with widespread critical acclaim, culminating in Pitchfork’s ‘Best New Music’ accolade and a nomination for the Polaris Music Prize 2014.

Aside from DeMarco’s recorded work, his live shows have gained notoriety for often involving nudity, jokes and a lot of improvisation. He was recently arrested on stage in California after climbing the venue’s ceiling beams with the help of the crowd.

Không dừng lại với sự thành công của Tuần Lễ Âm Nhạc Quốc Tế mới đây, Loud Minority lại tiếp tục khởi động năm 2015 cùng với Mac DeMarco, anh chàng nghệ sĩ đã làm sôi động báo chí suốt năm 2014, sẽ trình diễn tại Cargo vào ngày 20/1 sắp tới.

Lần đầu tiên đến với người nghe qua bản nhạc Ode to Viceroy, album Salad Days ra mắt vào đầu năm nay đã nhận được sự hoan nghênh rộng rãi từ các nhà phê bình – được Pitchfork bình chọn “Best New Music” đồng thời được đề cử cho giải Polaris Music Prize 2014.

Ngoài những sản phẩm phòng thu, DeMarco còn “khét tiếng” với những live shows thường kèm theo những câu đùa, màn nude và những đoạn biểu diễn rất tùy hứng. Mac DeMarco từng bị bắt khi trình diễn ở California vì cố tình leo lên trần nhà với sự giúp đỡ của khán giả!
