SAIGON INTERNATIONAL MUSIC WEEK 

 

 

 

Saigon-based promoters Loud Minority & Saigon Sound System are teaming up to launch the first SAIGON INTERNATIONAL MUSIC WEEK which will kick-off in fine style on 26th November with award-winning UK indie rockers, THE VACCINES.

With the development of Saigon’s live music scene over the last 2 or 3 years, and the rise of Cargo as a bonafide concert space, now seems like the perfect time to launch a ‘music week’. Following The Vaccines’ opening show will be a Vietnamese showcase with Black Infinity and White Noiz, as well as shows from THE LEMONHEADS (USA) and JAGWAR MA (AUS)

Saigon International Music Week may not be on the same playing field as established events such as Clockenflap in Hong Kong, Laneway in Singapore or Urbanscapes in Malaysia, just yet. But, by bagging acts like The Vaccines and Jagwar Ma in its’ first year, this could well be the seed that grows into a widely-recognized event throughout SE Asia.

- Loud Minority is Saigon's premier live music night at Cargo Bar, which brings international headliners to Vietnam supported by emerging local talent and followed by great DJ sets.
