SAIGON HEAT & ASEAN Basketball League

We were made for ABL. Seven years ago, our sole desire was to raise Vietnam’s flag in BASKETBALL – a sport it barely had at that time – in ASEAN BASKETBALL LEAGUE.

That very mindset we had from the start hasn’t changed to this day. It is an honor to be given the opportunity to represent the country in ASEAN and pave the way to many ‘firsts’ in a sport that is still quite new and growing in this country.

This year, fans can expect that we at SAIGON HEAT are putting our ALL in this ABL season: recruiting the best of Vietnam basketball squad, like 2019 VBA MVP Tam Dinh, Heritage Player of the Year Vincent Nguyen, returning local Giant Chris Dierker, together with the right mix of the country’s youngest and homegrown Saigon Heat and VBA players, and imports with both ABL and NBA experiences. Under the leadership of veteran coach Kevin Yurkus, we are confident that this is going to be an exciting new ABL season, not only for SAIGON but for the whole Vietnam basketball community!
