Nhật báo Die Welt (Thế Giới) của Đức khen ngợị màn trình diễn của Boulanger Trio là “không thể cưỡng nổi,” còn nhạc sĩ Wolfgang Rihm trong một bức thư của mình đã viết: “Bất cứ một nhà soạn nhạc nào cũng mơ ước tác phẩm của mình được thể hiện một cách thuyết phục như thế này.”

Năm 2006, ba nghệ sĩ Karla Haltenwanger, Birgit Erz và Ilona Kindt thành lập Boulanger Trio để thoả giấc mơ dành cuộc đời mình cho thể loại âm nhạc hoà tấu thính phòng. Mười hai năm trôi qua không ảnh hưởng chút gì đến nhiệt huyết và ngọn lửa đam mê của ba nghệ sĩ, và nhóm tam tấu đến từ Hamburg và Berlin đã đạt được những thành tựu và danh tiếng xuất sắc trong thế giới của âm nhạc thính phòng.

Bên cạnh danh mục 8 tựa đĩa CD, mỗi đĩa khám phá một chủ đề ý tưởng riêng, nhóm Boulanger Trio đã được mời biểu diễn tại nhiều khán phòng danh giá bậc nhất như Vienna Musikverein, phòng hoà nhạc Elbphilharmonie ở Hamburg, Fest- spielhaus ở Baden-Baden, và Wigmore Hall của London. Họ cũng được mời đến các festival như Festival Mùa Xuân ở Heidelberg, Festival Mùa Hè Kissingen, và Festival “Đối Thoại” ở Salzburg. Nhóm Trio có buổi ra mắt lần đầu ở khán phòng Berlin Philharmonie năm 2009, với chương trình gồm bản concert 3 đàn của Beethoven, chơi cùng dàn nhạc Berliner Symphoniker. Và kể từ đó, các dàn nhạc nổi tiếng như Nieder- rheinische Sinfoniker, Brandenburger Symphoniker, và dàn nhạc Berne Symphony Orchestra thường xuyên mời Boulanger Trio biểu diễn concerto.

Trong chuyến lưu diễn đến TP.HCM lần này, Boulanger Trio mang đến một chương trình chứa đựng những giai điệu mượt mà trữ tình của âm nhạc Lãng Mạn thế kỷ 19, đã làm say đắm mọi trái tim từ hơn 1 thế kỷ qua.  

Boulanger Trio is described by the German newspaper Die Welt as “irresistible”; composer Wolfgang Rihm wrote in a letter: “To be interpreted in this way is surely the great dream of every composer”.

In 2006, Karla Haltenwanger, Birgit Erz and Ilona Kindt fulfilled the dream of devoting their lives to chamber music when they founded the Boulanger Trio. Twelve years afterwards, the Hamburg and Berlin based trio still plays in its original lineup and has gained an excellent reputation in the world of chamber music. 

Along with an impressive discography of eight CDs, each one featuring a special programmatic concept, the ensemble has also performed at the Vienna Musikverein, the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, the Fest- spielhaus in Baden-Baden, and London’s Wigmore Hall. They have also been invited to festivals including the Heidelberg Spring Festival, the Kissingen Summer Festival, and the Dialoge Festival in Salzburg. Their début performance at the Berlin Philharmonie took place in 2009 with Beethoven’s Triple Concerto along with the Berliner Symphoniker. Ever since then, orchestras such as the Nieder- rheinische Sinfoniker, the Brandenburger Symphoniker, and the Berne Symphony Orchestra have regularly invited the Boulanger Trio to perform concertos with them.

For its second visit to HCMC, the Boulanger Trio will bring a great programme that will sure capture its audience.
