Desford Colliery Brass Band In Concert

 

The Desford Colliery Band are to appear at the Conservatory of Music, 112 Nguyen Du, HCMC on 2 June 2016 at 8pm.  The concert is the first time a British style Brass Band has appeared in Vietnam as far as we are aware.

 

The British style Brass Band is an iconic musical British musical group, producing a powerful sound with its mixture of spine-tingling fortissimos, breath-taking pianissimos and star turns from many of the best brass soloists you are likely to hear.  This elite ensemble, with many high quality recordings and performances behind them are following up their recent successful tours of Bangkok, Singapore and Manila with a visit to Ho Chi Minh City. Alongside this major concert in the Conservatory of Music, the band will be holding a series of performances and workshops with young Vietnamese and International music students.
