Tắc kè hoa Marc Romboy không hề là một món bách niên nhất vị Từ gốc trance (Marc & Claude) thường trình diễn với Stephen Bodzin, một loạt các sáng tác từ deep tech/house kim khí nặng trịch cho Josh Wink, hay Audio Jack, người nghe sẽ không thưởng thức một món tạp phẩm nào từ người sáng lập Systematic 12 năm trước. Phải hơn một năm ròng theo đuổi và biến tour diễn xuyên quốc gia của anh thành hiện thực, và chúng tôi vô cùng kinh ngạc ngày ấy giờ đã đến!

Heart Beat Saigon, cái tên không thể quen thuộc hơn khi nhắc đến techno, đã mang đến những nghệ sĩ như Antigone, Shifted, Henning Baer, Marco Shuttle, Etapp Kyle, Ed Davenport, Oliver Deutschmann và nhiều nữa.

 

►►LOA LOA THÔNG BÁO: Mới gần đây Marco đã theo bước SuperFlu và tái hiện tác phẩm của nhà soạn nhạc Debussy cùng với Dàn giao hưởng Dortmunder.

 

 

►►TIỂU SỬ  ► Khi nói tới Marc Romboy và nhạc điện tử, anh chẳng bao giờ thiếu kinh nghiệm. Trong suốt hơn hai thập kỷ, DJ người Đức, nhà sản xuất và chủ hãng đĩa đã đồng nghĩa với thứ âm thanh house techno có lời, âm thanh đã mang anh đi khắp thế giới. Cùng với việc phát hành tại các label cộm cán nhất, từ Ovum đến Gruuv, Planete đến 20:20 Vision, anh cũng là nhân vật đứng sau Systematic Recordings từ 1994 đến nay.

 

Systematic là nơi của những nghệ sĩ thành danh như Blake Baxter và Booka Shade, Robert Babicz và Stephen Bodzin, và thành công cũng chính bởi âm thanh mà anh sáng tạo. Ngày nay, trong vai trò một kẻ sành nghe nhạc, anh đã cho ra đời Taiyo năm 2013 (hợp tác với NS Ken Ishii, cuộc hôn phối giữa tình yêu của Ken dành cho synth điện tử và effect với kỹ thuật của Marc) và một năm sau đó Shades, một hợp tuyển cá nhân các track mới, đã ra đời, đánh dấu những điểm sáng và các bản remix nổi trội.

 

Dù là một cái tên thuộc hàng lão làng, Marc vẫn không bao giờ lạ lẫm và luôn tiên phong trong nhạc điện tử. Bằng chứng là trong lịch diễn DJ, đưa anh đến Fabric và Fuse, Berghain đến Rex, và cả 2 tiết mục Boiler Room xuất sắc. Một diễn ra ở Berlin, solo, và lần thứ 2 tại Sao Paolo với chiến hữu Stephan Bodzin. Cả hai đều chứng minh sự đa tài của một DJ chẳng bao giờ lệ thuộc vào chiêu trò hay những thứ gì đó hiển nhiên, mà trái lại anh thật sự kể nên những câu chuyện âm nhạc đích thực, trong đó người nghe nằm ngay tại vị trí trung tâm.

 

Nằm trên cùng chương mới nhất trong cuộc phiêu lưu âm nhạc của anh hẳn là hợp tuyển 10 năm Systematic, bao gồm track nhạc của các nghệ sĩ mà Marc yêu quý nhất như Audiojack, Jimpster và Dusty Kid. Chứng minh điều đó, hợp tuyển nay đã vượt quá 100 xuất phẩm đã có mặt khắp thế giới và đứng vịtrí thứ 5 Top Beatport, và vẫn nằm trong vị trí dẫn đầu suốt 20 tuần sau đó. Là một thế lực đích thực trong giới house & techno underground, Marc chẳng bao giờ ngừng bước, mà tiếp tục, luôn luôn, vượt lên tất cả các kỳ vọng, theo cách một nghệ sĩ chân chính vẫn luôn làm.

► B.A.X. Hiện diện trần thế vào năm 1989, chàng trai Bách được học Piano từ lúc 8 tuổi. Vào năm gã đủ tuổi chịu trách nhiệm hình sự, Bách tìm ra được đam mê lớn cho Electronic music. Vào năm 2008, anh ta bắt đầu dự án B.A.X, được biết tới bởi 2 phong cách. Một là New Age/Ambient, thể loại khiến người nghe thư giãn và bồng bềnh trong điệu nhạc. Cái còn lại là House và Deep House, đã giúp B.A.X được biết đến nhiều hơn và Heart Beat hợp tác với gã từ 2012. Sự chọn lựa tracks của Bách sẽ đem tất cả khán giả người nghe cuồng nhiệt hơn, xóa bỏ khoảng cách và thân thiện hơn trên sàn nhảy, bởi vì gã đã biến thứ âm nhạc này thành một ngôi nhà chung cho tất cả mọi người. Bách bắt đầu xây dưng thương hiệu mới của hắn- Feel of Life Records vào 01.08.2010. Tự tháng 5/2016, BAX là thành viên hàng đầu của Harbour, người anh em/ nhãn hiệu con của Heart Beat với sự tập trung vào những nhà sản xuất VN. Party ra mắt vào ngày 13/8 vừa rồi cùng với 4 track free download là một tiền đề cho ý tưởng tiếp theo.

 

►CHRIS WOLTER: [Đức] đến từ Rostock, thành phố vùng Hanse, nơi có một bối cảnh âm nhạc luôn chuyển động, như những gì anh đã cho thấy suốt 2 năm qua. Ít nhất đã có 5 vị khách đến Việt Nam từ Rostock xa xôi. Chris, anh đã sống 7 năm trong văn hóa Việt Nam và dĩ nhiên không ai khác chính là người sáng lập (bố chưa già) của Heart Beat. Ta sẽ thưởng thức âm thanh đặc trưng nhất, mang đậm dấu ấn của anh với quả bom techno Scorpion, Bubi. Trở thành DJ cách đây đúng 10 năm, và 2008 với màn ra mắt Việt Nam tại festival điện tử nổi tiếng Hanoi Soundstuff.

▬▬▬▬Âm nhạc underground techno ▬▬▬▬▬▬ Heart Beat; Đây là sự kiện 24 và  tập thể đứng sau Underground Body Music với vai trò promoter, hệ thống âm thanh, xây dựng cộng đồng non trẻ và một label chớm nở. Heart Beat giới thiệu văn hóa techno vào đời sống ban đêm của Saigon bằng những đêm định kỳ biểu diễn, nơi ta có thể tìm thấy những tên tuổi quốc tế song song với các tài năng trong nước biểu diễn những bản techno kinh điển và mê hoặc. 

 

 ▬▬APOCALYPSE NOW ▬▬ với 23 năm dắt vai và là một trong những bar thâm niên được ưa thích nhất tại Sài Gòn, sẽ tiếp tục đồng hành cùng Heart Beat Saigon. DƯới mái nhà mới ở tầng gác của Apocalypse, chúng ta sẽ tiếp tục thưởng ngoạn âm thanh ồn ã, một bầu không khí underground ấm cúng và một vị trí không thể trung tâm hơn, và không thiếu bất ngờ. You already know Heart Beat Saigon as the purveyors of techno in the past bringing you artist like Antigone, Shifted, Henning Baer, Marco Shuttle, Etapp  Kyle, Ed Davenport, Oliver Deutschmann and many more.

► FULL BIO  When it comes to Marc Romboy and electronic music, he has pretty much been there and done that. Over the course of the last two plus decades, the German born DJ, producer and label boss has become synonymous with a soulful, vocal infused house and techno sound that has taken him all over the world. As well as releasing on only the most influential labels, from Ovum to Gruuv, Planet e to 20:20 Vision, he is also the sole mastermind behind the influential Systematic Recordings label and has been since 2004. 

 

That label is home to established artists like Blake Baxter and Booka Shade, Robert Babicz and Stephan Bodzin, but it is Marc’s own output that most defines it. Nowadays an album specialist, 2013 saw him release the captivating "Taiyo" (an album made in collaboration with Japan’s Ken Ishii that married Marc’s hardware techniques with Ken’s love of digital synths to stunning effect) whilst a year later came Shades, a personal compilation of new tracks, career highlights and standout remixes. 

 

Despite being a key player for so long, Marc is still as relevant as ever and remains right at the sharp end of electronic music. Proof of that comes in the form of his DJ schedule, which takes him from Fabric to Fuse, Berghain to Rex, as well as to not one but two separate Boiler Room shows. The first was solo in Berlin, the second was a b2b with frequent sonic sparring partner Stephan Bodzin in Sao Paolo. Both proved Marc to be a dexterous DJ who never relies on obviousness or gimmicks, instead telling truly musical stories that place dancers right at the heart of the action. 

 

Topping off the latest chapter in this enduring pioneer’s musical adventure was the "10 Years of Systematic" compilation, which includes new tracks from the artists Marc most cherishes such as Audiojack, Jimpster and Dusty Kid. Proving that the label, which is now past its 100th release, has a global following, the compilation made it in the Beatport Top 5 Albums and remained in the Top 20 weeks after release. A positive force within the world of underground house and techno, Marc Romboy never sits still, never rests on his laurels and continually confounds expectations, just as any proper artist should...

► B.A.X. Born in 1989 in Vietnam, Bách was taught to play the piano when he was 8 years old. At the age of 18 he discovered his passion for electronic music. In 2008 he started his own project B.A.X. B.A.X is known for two styles. One goes back longer and is the New Age/Ambient music style, which makes listeners feel relaxed. The other style is House and Deep House sets that B.A.X has been known to play with Heart Beat since 2012. His selection of tracks will make everyone crawl out of his/her shell, as the music becomes the cocoon. Bách started his new label called Feel of Life Records on 01.08.2010. Since May 2016 BAX is head resident at Harbour, younger sister/ sub label of Heart Beat and meant for local productions. First 4 tracks free download EP is a fact. Launching party took place 13 August @ the Observatory.

 

►CHRIS WOLTER hailing from Hanse city Rostock, with a very active scene, as we all have experienced these past years. At least 5 guests from the Rostock area come over to Saigon. Chris is already more than 7 years part of the Vietnamese culture and of course founding father (Papa) of Heart Beat. Releasing his signature sound on Heart Beat’s imprint with his latest techno release of Chanhy by night and  “Scorpion” following “Bubi”. Made his debut in 2004 as DJ and in 2008 his first set in Vietnam during the Hanoi Soundstuff Festival. Now also performing and releasing under his Alias Phuc Long on HRBR a new imprint with BAX as head honcho. 

►VISUALS by EROL - no light show will be needed, standing all night besides the DJ’s this one man live show called Erol produces the visuals that will entangle with the sonic typhoon the artist create and release. It is the Lightning going with the storm, the techno Viking god  in person and hard NOT to get hypnotized by his creations. 

 

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬Intro Heart Beat ▬▬▬ this is the 24th instalment of Heart Beat, also known as the Techno crew of Saigon, enriching its scene with their selection of “ Underground Body Music”, in doing so as a promoter, sound system, tiny community and nascent record label. Heart Beat brings foremost the techno culture to Saigon’s nightlife by regularly hosting nights.
