  • Mervyn Cheo - Chairman & CEO, Phibious Group


Mervyn Cheo has founded and built leading companies across Southeast Asia. He has grown Phibious Group into a leading media and marketing group in the region, with Campaign Asia naming Phibious as Southeast Asia's "Integrated Agency of the Year in 2015".

He is also the founder and Chairman of Hello Health Group, one of Southeast Asia’s fastest-growing health and medical content company's. Mervyn is a partner of Omnicom Media Group in Vietnam, one of the top 2 largest media companies in the world; as well as an active incubator for technology and media start-ups. He is particularly focused on solutions that digitally transform the industries of medical and health, beauty, travel, agriculture and finance.



  • Dang Ngoc Thanh Thao - Chief Marketing Officer, Yan Media Group (YMG)


Thao Dang is the Chief Marketing Officer for Yan TV and joined YMG during it's early growth stage and witnessed its massive growth as Vietnam’s first and only multi-media platform solely dedicated to entertainment through the key media channels of Television, Digital media and Events.

She has covered diverse roles in YMG, including marketing operations management, digital and video production. During her time at YMG she has planned and executed a variety of marketing campaigns for brands and companies who want to reach YMG's target market of young switched on Vietnamese youth and young adults.

Prior to joining Yan Media Group, Thao was the FashionTV Vietnam Representative, pushing the awareness of F-brand in its first step into Vietnam market and proved the efficient support to FTV licensees.

OTT - The Unstoppable Merger Between Television & Digital Video

The trends and challenges that are shaping up Vietnam’s OTT ecosystem and landscape, what does it mean for consumers, what does it mean for brands and what does it mean for the industry overall?


Satya Ghosh is the Chief Digital Officer at ADT Group Holding and is leading their digital services and products, including the strategic partnership with VTV Digital to launch the VTVgo OTT ecosystem.

ADT is one of the largest communication companies in Vietnam and owns local cable entertainment channel and provides TV content production, media, and digital services

Prior to ADT, Satya was the Head of Media at Unilever Vietnam for 3 years managing the communications strategy and investment across all 24 brands of Unilever. Before moving to Vietnam in 2013 he spent 10 years in the advertising and media industry in Singapore, Malaysia and India. Satya has a passion for technology, entertainment (Mobile, Internet & TV) and is a big believer in brand ‘Asia’.



  • Eric Olander - Chief Revenue Officer & Director, Ringier Lab Vietnam


Video Revolution = Client Confusion

Vietnam is now one of the fastest growing digital video markets in the world. According to YouTube, Vietnam is now #1 in Asia for daily time spent viewing per user (50 minutes) and the viewership on the major social video platforms has now overtaken that of many of the country’s television channels. While consumer behavior is rapidly changing, a number of brands and companies are struggling to keep up with the incredibly fast shift to video. Too many brands are either slow to engage consumers via video or are pursuing risky (and expensive) strategies in search of viral video fame.


Eric Olander is the Chief Revenue Officer and Director of Ringier’s branded content studio in Vietnam, Ringier LABS. Eric oversees Ringier Vietnam’s new business development in emerging media including social, video and native advertising.

Prior to joining Ringier Vietnam, Eric was the General Director of the all-business news TV channel, FBNC, one of Vietnam’s only dedicated news networks.

Eric has an extensive background in both traditional and digital media with 20 years of international editorial and management experience at some of the world largest networks including CNN, CNBC Asia and FRANCE 24 among many others. Eric is also a prolific blogger, podcaster and social media content creator in both English and Chinese.



  • Kevin Yee - Chief Marketing Officer, POPS Worldwide

Kevin Yee is Chief Marketing Officer at POPS Worldwide. Kevin is responsible for the branding, marketing strategy, audience development, promotions, publicity, viewer insights, media and promotions across all distribution channels for original and partner content.

Kevin has 20 years of business and general management expertise in publishing, media, technology consulting, digital marketing and retail entertainment industries.

Kevin is an American and has been based in Saigon since 2009 and has held management, marketing and business development roles at CGV Cinemas Vietnam and OgilvyOne Vietnam.
