Là Festival Guitar cổ điển thường niên đầu tiên ở Việt Nam, được tổ chức từ năm 2014, SIGF đã giới thiệu nhiều nghệ sĩ guitar danh tiếng thế giới, từng đoạt giải nhiều cuộc thi lớn đến với công chúng TP, như Paul Cesarczyk, Salvatore Fodera (2014), Jeremy Jouve, Rene Izquierdo, và Anton Baranov (2015). 

SIGF is the first annual classical guitar festival in Viet Nam. It was launched in 2014 and has quickly assumed leadership in the development of the art of guitar in the country, presenting many international acclaimed guitarists, winners of such prestigious competitions as GFA Guitar Competition (USA) and many more. Among the artists are Paul Cesarczyk, Salvatore Fodera (2014), Jeremy Jouve, Rene Izquierdo, and Anton Baranov (2015).

Giới thiệu về các nghệ sĩ sẽ tham gia SIGF 2016:

Được đánh giá là một trong những nghệ sĩ năng động hàng đầu trong thế hệ của mình, Andras Csaki đã biểu diễn khắp châu Âu, Mỹ, Nam Mỹ, Nhật Bản và Trung Quốc. Anh đã nhiều lần đoạt giải Nhất trong các cuộc thi guitar quốc tế, trong đó phải kể đến các cuộc thi danh giá như “Tokyo International Guitar Competition” năm 2008, "Michele Pittaluga Guitar Competition" tại Alessandria, Ý năm 2009, và “Julian Arcas Guitar Competition” tại Tây Ban Nha năm 2011. Anh thường xuyên được mời cộng tác biểu diễn với các nghệ sĩ violin, flute và ca sĩ trong các chương trình âm nhạc thính phòng khác nhau. 

As one of the most active players of his generation, Andras Csaki has given recitals throughout Europe, USA, South-America, Japan and China, and by 2011 had been awarded 11 first prizes including the 51st Tokyo International Guitar Competition in 2008, the "Michele Pittaluga" Guitar Competition in Alessandria, Italy 2009, and the Julian Arcas Guitar Competition, Spain 2011. He is often asked by various violinists, flutists and singers to take part in different chamber music performances.
 

Lê Hoàng Minh giành giải Nhất cuộc thi “Tokyo International Guitar Competition” năm 2006 và “Adelaide Spring Guitar Competition” năm 2001. Là một nghệ sĩ biểu diễn solo tại Úc, Anh thường được mời dạy các buổi master class và biểu diễn tại các Hội guitar ở Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth và Canberra. Năm 2008, Anh phát hành album solo "The Fall of Birds" được đánh giá rất cao và ghi âm một CD song tấu Guitar và Flute với tựa đề "Duo Merindah". 

Le Hoang Minh won first prize in the 50th Tokyo International Guitar Competition having won the Adelaide Spring Guitar Competition in 2001. As a soloist and recitalist within Australia he has given master classes and concerts for guitar societies in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Canberra. In 2008 he released the critically acclaimed solo album “The Fall of Birds” and a more recent recording “Duo Merindah” featuring music for guitar and flute.

 Nghệ sĩ trẻ Callum Henshaw đã giành được nhiều giải Nhất tại các cuộc thi như: “National Eisteddfod Open Classical Guitar Competition” năm 2008, cuộc thi “Cordoba International Guitar Competition” năm 2012, cuộc thi “Sydney Eisteddfod Instrumental Duo Competition” cùng với nghệ sĩ trẻ Campbell Diamond năm 2013, cuộc thi “Tirana International Guitar Competitions” năm 2014, và tại cuộc thi với tên gọi “Friends of the ANU School of Music Chamber Music Competition” cùng với nghệ sĩ guitar Andrew Blanch vào năm 2015.

Callum Henshaw has won first prize in the National Eisteddfod Open Classical Guitar Competition (2008), the Cordoba International Guitar Competition (2012), the Sydney Eisteddfod Instrumental Duo Competition with Campbell Diamond (2013), the Tirana International Guitar Competitions (2014), and the Friends of the ANU School of Music Chamber Music Competition with Andrew Blanch (2015).

Naoki Ikuta giảng dạy và thường xuyên biểu diễn tại Nagoya, Nhật Bản. Ngoài ra, Anh đã thực hiện và ra mắt CD đầu tay của mình với tựa đề "Influence" với thương hiệu phát hành các ấn phẩm âm nhạc cổ điển "fontec" của Nhật. Naoki Ikuta đã có nhiều buổi biểu diễn và giảng dạy masterclasses tại nhiều quốc gia khác nhau như Anh, Ireland, Hy Lạp, Hungary, Singapore, Thái Lan và Hàn Quốc.

Naoki Ikuta currently teaches and performs in Nagoya, Japan. Also he made his debut CD "Influence" from japanese classical music label "fontec". He gave many concerts and masterclasses in various country such as UK, Ireland, Greece, Hungary, Singapore, Thailand, and South Korea. He also organizes “Nagoya Guitar Festival” with great players every year.

Tiến sĩ Robert Trent đã có 23 năm nghiên cứu về đàn Guitar và đàn Lute thời Phục Hưng tại Đại học Radford, 16 năm với vai trò giám đốc điều hành của “Liên hoan Guitar quốc tế Đại học Radford”. Ông là người đầu tiên nhận bằng Tiến sỹ chuyên ngành biểu diễn guitar tại Nhạc Viện Peabody, dưới sự hướng dẫn của các bậc thầy Julian Gray, Manuel Barrueco và nghệ sỹ đàn Lute - Ronn McFarlane.

Robert Trent has performed on the continents of North and South America and in Europe. Dr. Trent performs on modern guitar, Renaissance lute, an original French guitar from the early 19th c.,a reproduction of a 10-string double-necked Romantic guitar of Scherzer and terz guitar. He is a contributor to Mel Bay volume, “Complete Sonatas of Sor, Giuliani and Diabelli.” He is frequently sought after in masterclasses, performances and as an adjudicator at such institutions and festivals as the Guitar Foundation of America, Johns Hopkins University (Peabody Institute), University of South Carolina, Westminster Choir College, St. Joseph Guitar Festival, Festival Chartres, (France), Festival Condrogianos (Italy), Zevener Gitarrenwöch (Germany), Concours International de Guitar –Maurice Ohana (Paris). He is Professor of Music and Director of Guitar and Renaissance lute studies at Radford University’s College of Visual and Performing Arts and of Radford University’s International Guitar Festival, now in its 15th season.
