Buổi trình diễn độc tấu sáo vào tối thứ Sáu 11/01 sẽ lấy cảm hứng từ thi ca và khát vọng, bao gồm các tác phẩm của CPE Bach trong giai đoạn tìm kiếm khả năng diễn đạt mới năm 1747, thế giới âm nhạc mới của Debussy năm 1913, và một số thanh âm hiện đại đến từ Châu Âu xa xôi.

Số tiền thu được từ buổi biểu diễn sẽ được gửi đến trại trẻ mồ côi St. Vincent Diem cho các trẻ em khuyết tật, gần Đồng Hới, tỉnh Quảng Bình, miền Trung Việt Nam.

Về Laura Chislett: Tiếng sáo với “âm sắc lộng lẫy”, “đẹp một cách đáng kinh ngạc”, “cuộc hành trình lôi cuốn”, “phi thường….tuyệt mỹ”: là một số đánh giá về CD album “Flute Vox” của Laura Chislett vừa được phát hành trên iTunes. Trong sự nghiệp của mình, Laura đã có cơ hội đến Châu Âu, Mỹ và Châu Á. Cô tin tưởng rằng âm nhạc là để làm phong phú thêm cho tâm hồn. Laura rất thích những địa điểm thân quen, khám phá một cách khoáng đạt những biểu cảm của con người giúp kết nối lẫn nhau. Mỗi chương trình được thiết kế để đưa thính giả lạc bước vào hành trình của trí tưởng tượng. Âm nhạc lên tiếng trong khoảnh khắc mà không ngôn từ nào có thể diễn đạt.

Laura Chislett hiện là trợ giáo tại Đại học bang New South Wales, Sydney, nơi cô giảng dạy về trình diễn. Cô đã phát hành 5 đĩa solo mà hầu hết vẫn đang lưu hành trên các nền tảng kỹ thuật số quốc tế về download hoặc phát trực tuyến, và cô đã trình diễn solo các tác phẩm từ Bach, Telemann cho đến các tác phẩm mới được viết gần đây. Laura cũng đang mạo hiểm bước vào lĩnh vực nhạc dân gian, với các buổi biểu diễn và thu âm cho thể loại nhạc Choro của người Brazill vào đầu năm nay.

This Friday evening recital will feature flute music inspired by poetry and desire, including CPE Bach’s search for new expressive possibilities of 1747, Debussy’s new sound world of 1913, and some more recent sounds from beyond Europe.

The proceeds from this concert will go to the St Vincent Diem Orphanage for disabled children near Dong Hoi in Quang Binh Province, in Central Vietnam.

With a career that has taken her to Europe, the USA and Asia, Laura believes that music should enrich the soul. A fan of the intimate venue, she seeks to explore the breadth of human expression that unites us all. Each program is designed to take the listener on a journey of the imagination. Music says in a few moments what words could never express.

Laura Chislett is an Adjunct Academic at The University of New South Wales in Sydney where she lectures on performance.  She has released five solo CDs most of which are currently available on international digital download or streaming platforms, and she has performed as a soloist in repertoire ranging from Bach and Telemann to the most recently written works. Laura has also recently ventured into the realm of folk music, with performances and a recording of Brazilian Choro music earlier this year.
