Challenge and motivate yourself with a group of friends, family & co-workers. No joy is greater than team racing! Devote yourselves to supporting and encouraging each other while conquering the obstacles.
This team of up to 20 people will be kicking off from 8:00 AM - 12:00AM, opening every 20 minutes. Obstacles can also be skipped – but give them a try at least once.

Solo Competitors

This category contains the first wave of Dashers to hit the course. Starting at 6:00AM, they will be the first to get muddy while competing for podium placements, cash & prizes.
The winners will be the first three (3) males & the first three (3) females to complete all the obstacles without skipping any. Failure to complete any obstacle will result in 20 burpees. Failure to complete the burpees will result in disqualification of podium placement.

Team Competitors

Teams in this category are made up of four (4) members who must all cross the finish line before their time is recorded. Competitive Team Dashers start immediately after the soloists at 6:20 AM.
The first three (3) teams to complete all the obstacles together without skipping any will get podium placements, including cash & gifts. Failure in any obstacle by any team member will result in 20 burpees for the whole team. Failure to complete the burpees by any team member will result in disqualification of podium placement.

FAQ

1. Who should sign up for the Champion Dash?

Champion Dash is for EVERYONE! It is a fitness and entertainment experience that will also have music, food and drinks.

4. What do I get?

Other than an experience of a lifetime, participants will receive a race bib, unique Dragon Dash accessory, finisher t-shirt and finisher medal.

5. Are there group discounts?

Yes. Please go to our registration page for additional information.

6. Can I get a refund?

Sorry we will not issue refunds. Rain or shine, we will be out having fun with you on the day of the event. If the event has to be cancelled due to natural disaster, acts of God, terrorism, war or any other reason deemed reasonable by the event organizers, the event will be re-scheduled where possible. No refunds will be issued; however, the credit will be transferred to the next event.

7. If I cannot attend on the day of the event, can I transfer my entry to someone else?

Yes, just give them your Race Bib and make sure they are over the age of 14. Tell them to complete the waiver – provided in the race kit – in full to bring on race day with photo ID for Check-in. If they require a new waiver they can contact us for one or fill out a new one at Check-in.

8. Do I have to sign a waiver?

Yes, all participants will need fill in their personal information and agree to the liability waiver provided in the Race Kit. All participants must submit a complete waiver at Check-in on race before being allowed on the course.

9. Is there an age limit to participate in Champion Dash?

The minimum age requirement is 14 years of age on the event day. This is due to legal and insurance reasons; so, unfortunately, we cannot make exceptions on this policy. There is no maximum age to participate in Champion Dash; however, by entering the event, you accept that you are fit and well enough to take part in this exciting challenge!

10. When do I collect my participant pack?

A friendly individual will deliver your pack upon registration, alternatively you can pick it up at the designated location or at our registration table the day of the event.

1. How long is the course?

Champion Dash is 5+ km.

2. Do I have to run the entire event?

You can choose to walk or run the events and make the course as hard or easy as you desire. The ultimate aim is for participants to enjoy the experience, whether you choose to follow the philosophy of leaving no man behind or fuel your competitive juices by challenging yourself to become a Champion Dash champion.

3. How many obstacles will there be?

Our event will be packed with 15+ exciting and challenging obstacles.

4. Who designed the obstacles?

Outdoor adventure enthusiasts, sporting entrepreneurs and rescue professionals, designed Champion Dash. The course is designed to be fun and stimulating while testing your problem solving skills, ability to work together, overall fitness and willingness to get a bit dirty.

5. What kind of obstacles will I encounter?

The obstacles you will encounter will require you to crawl, climb, balance, swing, carry and assist others to get to the finish line. It’s not a life changing experience for nothing.

6. What if I don’t want to do an obstacle?

Why wouldn’t you want to try every obstacle since this is part of the fun, and there is no penalty for failure…unless you’ve signed up competitively. However, you are welcome to bypass any obstacle along the course that you find too intimidating. Some of these obstacles will test the best; but with help from other participants or team members, we’re confident you will be able to complete most of them.

7. Is the event timed?

Only the competitive waves will be timed, but that shouldn’t stop you or your team from timing yourself for fun, for a little comparison and competition to log in your workout activity for the day!

8. How long will it take to complete the course?

We anticipate it will take most participants between 1 to 2 hours to complete.

9. Will there be aid stations out on course?

Yes, there will be aid stations with water out on the course.

10. Are the obstacles safe?

Yes, however like all adventure style challenges, there are risks associated with this type of event. All participants will need to agree with our waiver prior to taking part. If participants do not feel comfortable with any obstacles, they should choose to bypass them.

11. What if I get hurt on the course?

First Aid staff will be positioned on-site throughout the course with ambulance and medical teams on hand as well.

12. When will I know what the obstacles are?

We will be releasing details of some of the obstacles on the website and Facebook in the lead up to the event; however, some obstacles are strictly too crazy and cool to reveal!

13. Is there a time limit for completing the course?

No, as long as you have finished and are off the course by the advertised finish time.

14. Will there be photographers out on course?

Yes, photos taken by our event photographers will be available online after the event.

1. What should I wear?

Wear clothes and shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty. We recommend athletic shoes that have good traction (but no spikes). We encourage you to express your individuality by wearing something that stands out from the crowd.

2. What do I bring?

Great question!

We recommend you bring the following: (expect that everything worn during the event will get muddy/dirty)

  • Duffel bag, backpack or plastic bag to store gear
  • Athletic sneakers and socks for the event
  • Comfortable workout top and bottom
  • Knee-high socks for those sensitive to tall grass and plants (optional)
  • Gloves (optional) – some people like to wear gloves as they go through the obstacles.
  • Poncho/rain gear!!! Please come prepared for all weather conditions. We will be outside for several hours.
  • Hat/visor, sunglasses and sunscreen
  • Something to keep you warm pre- and post-activity in the event of inclement weather (long sleeve shirt, windbreaker/light jacket)
  • Hair tie – don’t let your hair get in the way!
  • A change of clothes and extra footwear (for celebrating post-event)
  • The following will be provided on-site
    • Drinking water
    • Hand and face wash stations
    • Hand towels
    • Plastic bags for shoes/dirty gear post-event

Most importantly, bring your adventurous spirit and a huge SMILE!

3. Will there be a place to leave my bag or belongings at the event?

Yes, bag check will be available near the check-in area on race day.

4. What time should I arrive?

You should arrive an hour before your designated start block which you will receive by email before the event. This will give you enough time to register, check your gear, and get a stretch in before your adventure begins.

5. Where can I park?

There will be parking available within a very short walk of the start area. We want you to save your energy for the course!

6. Are there any showers available?

There will be a free wash-off zone provided to allow participants to wash off and enjoy the remainder of the day.

7. Will there be a place to change?

There will be one men’s and one women’s changing tent at the event venue.

7. Will the event be cancelled due to bad weather?

The events will go ahead regardless of most weather conditions. In the event of an extreme condition such as lightning, extreme heat, or storms, the event may need to be delayed for a period of time. Fortunately, we find that events can be even more fun in the rain!

1. Do teams have to finish all together?

Teams can be spread out across the course; however, we remind all participants that the event is not just a race and is all about camaraderie, so please ensure that you all help each other so you can all make it to the finish line!
Teams signing up for the competitive waves require every member of your team of four to complete every obstacle or penalty, and the clock doesn’t stop until the last member crosses the finish line.

3. Can team names be changed?

Yes. Some days we change our minds so why not our team name.
