At the hands of Mr. Tran Anh Tu, Hochiminh City Wings is well-known to be the only Professional Basketball team that follows the sustainable model with the Youth systems and Under 17-19. Representing for the young players, constantly trying and striving, these new up-coming stars of the City Wings are carrying their great responsibilities, reaching out strongly after a fluctuated season. The Team is also welcome the presence of the new Head Coach - Mr. Brian Rowsom – former NBA Player, the core players Henry Nguyen, Tuan Anh, Thanh Nhan, Ky Quan and the returning of Nguyen Huynh Hai alongside D- team ,U17 & U19 are ready for the new challenges of the 2018 VBA season. VBA is the first Professional Basketball Tournament in Vietnam was built according to the standard model of international professional. Launched in 2016 until now, VBA 2018 has been increased to a total of 6 participating teams, including Hanoi Buffaloes, Danang Dragons, Cantho Catfish, HCMC Wings and Saigon Heat. In 2017, VBA brought the dramatic moment from the beginning to the end of the season with the Thang Long Warriors beating the Cantho Catfish in 5 games to clinch their first VBA title.
Back to a new season, VBA 2018 promises to continue to satisfy Vietnamese basketball fans with intense, bloody and dramatic matches. 6 teams, 4 cities, 1 championship, which team will be crowned at VBA this year?
