NATIONAL BASKETBALL TEAM

Basketball at SEA Games 29 will be kicked off from Aug 20 to Aug 26, 2007 in Malaysia. To warm up before the Games, men's National Basketball Team will meet VBA teams in 02 friendly matches held in mid-August at Ho Xuan Huong Stadium. Their opponents shall be two experienced teams: Saigon Heat and Ho Chi Minh City Wings, which is considered a good opportunity for the players to challenge themselves, get acquainted with team play as well as acquire experience for the upcoming SEA Games 29.

Attending SEA Games this year, Vietnam National Basketball Team will be led by Todd Purves - American coach with many years of experience and famous throughout the Vietnamese basketball community. On the list of players to be convened, fans can spot many VBA stars like Nguyen Van Hung, To Quang Trung, Le Ngoc Tu or Trieu Han Minh. In addition, the list includes Vietnamese players Horace Nguyen Tam Phuc, Stefan Nguyen Tuan Tu, Tam Dinh. We can count on a promising Vietnamese Basketball Team in this regional game.
