Start-Up Chile ($40,000 start-up grant) Information Session

Start-up Chile is a Chilean government sponsored start-up acceleration program open to entrepreneurs all over the world. It gives each selected team $40,000 equity-free grants and 1-year work visas to work in Santiago, the capital of Chile, for the 6 month program. Applications for Start-Up Chile's 10th generation are open now through March 25.

Once selected you and part or all of your team will start on a six-month odyssey to the farthest continent on Earth (well, from Vietnam), meet up with like-minded folks from all corners, share a co-working style office space with frequent start-up talks. All your air tickets, logding, and monthly allowance will be covered by the grant (but keep in mind, you are doing start-up, more money spend on growing it is better then spending on yourself). 

Still you have plenty of off-work time to enjoy the scenic Chile with the most variety of climate and terrain in the world, from the Sahara-like driest Atacama desert, the salted lake similar to Dead Sea, the Andes range with snow covered volcanoes that you have learned about in school to the world famous Torres Del Paine and the its Antartica icebergs

Last but not least, don't miss the night-outs at local bars and frequently-organized party at your fellow SUPers.

Start-up Chile là một chương trình hỗ trợ khởi nghiệp bởi chính phủ Chile, một đất nước tươi đẹp và phát triển ở Nam Mỹ. Không giống như đa số các tổ chức khác lấy cổ phần khi đầu tư cho start-up, Start-up Chile cấp cho mỗi dự án khởi nghiệp 840 triệu đồng (40,000 đô la Mỹ) kèm theo không gian làm việc ngay tại trung tâm thủ đô Santiago, Chile trong vòng 6 tháng. 

Hãy tham gia vào buổi chia sẻ thông tin với 2 người bạn Việt của chúng ta đã tham gia vào chương trình này, Linh Vũ và Alan Van Toai để sẵn sàng hơn nếu bạn muốn tham gia vào đợt tuyển chọn này.

Ba tháng 1 lần, Start-up Chile sẽ chọn ra 100 dự án khởi nghiệp từ khắp nơi trên thế giới. Hiện đợt dự tuyển thứ 10 đang diễn ra và sẽ kết thúc nộp hồ sơ vào 25/3/2014.

Các team có thể nộp hồ sơ cho dù dự án của bạn mới chỉ là ý tưởng, bạn chỉ cần điền form và chuẩn bị một đoạn video ngắn giới thiệu về team của mình.

Việc xét tuyển sẽ chỉ gồm một vòng. Nếu được chọn và đồng ý sang Chile 1 phần hoặc cả đội, bạn sẽ có cơ hội được đi đến miền đất xa nhât Việt Nam (vì thường bạn sẽ phải bay vòng qua Bắc Mỹ rồi mới xuống Nam Mỹ), cơ hội được tiếp xúc với những người có chung hoài bão lớn giống bạn, được làm việc trong một môi trường sôi động, đa chủng tộc, đa văn hóa. Ngoài ra còn có những buổi nói chuyện về khởi nghiệp và gây quỹ của các mentors và những startup đã thành công trong việc kêu gọi đầu tư.

Tất cả vé máy bay, tiền ăn ở của team sẽ được trả bởi khoản đầu tư trên, song các bạn cũng nhớ rằng chúng ta đang làm khởi nghiệp, phần lớn số tiền phải được dùng cho việc phát triển dự án của bạn.

Làm việc hăng say, vui chơi tích cực! Đến với Chile, bạn cũng đừng bỏ lỡ cơ hội khám phá đất nước có khí hậu và địa hình đa dạng nhất hành tinh, từ sa mạc Atacama khô nhất thế giới, với "biển chết" Laguna Cejar nơi bạn có thể nằm nổi trên mặt nước, với dãy Andes và rặng núi nổi tiếng Torres Del Paine với chim cánh cụt và băng Nam cực.

Và cuối cùng, đừng bỏ lỡ nightlife ở Santiago và night party được tổ chức thường xuyên bởi các team tham dự Startup Chile.
