SPEAKERS

Kenneth Tran

Kenneth Tran is a Principal Research Engineer in the Deep Learning Group, Microsoft Research. His research expertise and experience includes Deep Learning, Reinforcement Learning, Optimization, and Distributed Computing. At Microsoft, he led the research and development for strategic AI projects such as Deep Reinforcement Learning for real-world control problems, Project FarmBeats: AI & IoT for Agriculture, and Computer Vision API for Cognitive Services. In addition, Kenneth is also the chief mentor of Microsoft AI School’s advanced projects class. Kenneth received his Ph.D. in Computational & Applied Mathematics from The University of Texas at Austin.

Phuong Hoang

Phuong Hoang - Founder of GraphicsMiner Lab - a team at 2nd round of IBM AI Xprize competition. He graduated from Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH) with a master degree in Haptics and Virtual Reality. His main research interest are HCI, physics-based rendering & simulation, and Bayesian approaches in machine learning.

Qui Tran

Qui is currently working as a R&D lead, Zalo AI, mainly focusing on data mining and machine learning. Qui had more than 10 years of academy and industry experience.

For his education, Qui got a M.Eng (Computer Engineer) from NUS - Singapore, and a B.Eng (Computer Engineering) from HCMC University of Technology.
