Session 1: Building a Strategic and Lasting CSR Engagement

Being a responsible business is easier than you think. Join this training to find out more about the principles of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and how to achieve a balance of social, economic and environmental imperatives. You will learn what are the long-term benefits of CSR for your organization and in which fields you can get involved. This session introduces the methodology to design and implement a CSR approach. The module will be illustrated by case studies of successful sustainability initiatives led by companies operating in Vietnam.  Highly recommended for managers, communication and HR professionals willing to build, manage or evaluate CSR strategies.

Clemence Aron, Corporate Social Responsibility Project Manager

Chamber of Commerce and Industry France-Vietnam (CCIFV)

Clemence has been leading CCIFV CSR Program for over two years and she is the copywriter of the CSR Guidebook, a guide to understand the challenges of implementing responsible business practices in Vietnam. After studying International Business in France and Hong Kong, she led her research on CSR and Employee Engagement in Vietnam. Clemence has also worked for France Volontaires, a French organization initiated by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, promoting Solidarity and Volunteering around the world, and she is a consultant in CSR. At CCIFV, she launched various activities (publications, events, trainings, advisory, consulting, online tools) to help companies improve their societal impact and to build bridges between the private sector and the civil society.

Session 2: Ethical Recruitment in International Labour Supply Chains

Ethical recruitment, including placing the responsibility on employers to pay recruitment fees, has come to the forefront of global and regional policy agenda. Governments, businesses and civil society increasingly recognize the links between prevalent international recruitment models and worker vulnerability to exploitation. This session will broaden the understanding of the risks migrant workers face during recruitment, what it means for businesses and what private sector actors can do to implement ethical recruitment in their own operations and supply chains.

Anastasia Vynnychenko, Project Officer

International Organization for Migration (IOM)

Anastasia is a Project Officer at the International Organization for Migration (IOM). Since joining IOM’s Corporate Responsibility in Eliminating Slavery and Trafficking (CREST) project in June 2018, she has been responsible for the development of tools and methodologies, training for business on modern slavery and ethical recruitment, as well as supporting multi-stakeholder engagement. Anastasia has gained project development and management skills over the past eight years working with IOM in Eastern Europe. She was previously employed by the IOM Mission in Ukraine, where she was leading the labour mobility and human development programming, focusing on migration research and policy development, dialog with public and financial sector stakeholders on migrant remittances and savings, as well as diaspora engagement in home country development.

Session 3: Demystifying M&E: Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning for Nonprofits

Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) is not as scary as you think, in fact you’re probably already doing a lot more than you realize. In this hands-on workshop, you will learn to take control of M&E and use it to benefit your organization, be it for donor reporting or service improvement. In particular, you will learn the Most Significant Change technique – a powerful storytelling tool that captures qualitative change and helps you understand the impact of your organization - and have a chance to practice it on the spot. Join Caitlin and Duy from Blue Dragon Children's Foundation for a practical, fun and insightful session that seeks to unpack and decode the M&E process

Caitlin Wyndham, Resources and Partnerships Leader

Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation

Caitlin arrived in Hanoi from Australia in June 2001 and immediately fell in love with the city. What was initially intended to be a one-year experience turned into a seventeen year (and counting) love affair. Caitlin has worked for various different international non-government organisations in Vietnam all focussed on addressing social exclusion, inequality, and violations of human rights. Caitlin has been involved with Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation since it began in 2003, and is now a senior staff member at the organisation. She is responsible for liaison with grants donors, and leading the organization’s efforts in monitoring, evaluation and learning.  Caitlin holds a Masters in International and Community Development, a Masters in Sociology and will be completing a PhD in Public Policy in June 2019.

Duy Truong, Grants and Report Writer

Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation

Duy was born in Ho Chi Minh City but grew up around the world. He finished high school in Singapore and university in Australia, then moved to Hanoi to work at Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation. Duy has been at Blue Dragon for over two years and is continuously growing in his role. He writes reports and develops proposals to institutional grantmakers, and is closely involved in designing monitoring, evaluation and learning frameworks for programs across the organisation. Duy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and History, as well as a staggeringly enormous fondness for salted pistachio gelato.
