Hey TEDx-ers!

2019 almost comes to an end and ahead of us is the brand new decade! Before that, we are together entering into The Season of Festivals. To amplify upon this spirit, we would like to share with you a new TEDx Experience that happening at IDECAF Theater, 28 Le Thanh Ton, District 1, HO CHI MINH city, which namely TEDxĐaKao: Human Kind.  

To us, 'Human Kind' is a special way to represent human kindness, compassion, and human variability.

Recalling one of the Vietnamese Pasts, our graphics are inspired by 'Hàng Trống' Painting that empowered by Hoạ Sắc Việt - an outstanding book about Vietnamese Design that conducted by one of our amazing speakers. 

You will observe and discover and gain life values in a diverse range of Human Kindness and Compassion, The Future Identity Of Design, Technology & Community, as well as Performance of Humanity and other networking opportunities through meaningful messages, gifts that hold Vietnamese values! 

Additionally, It's our 1st Anniversary of TEDxĐaKao Community and promising an experience that familiar, heart-warming yet filled with delightful foods for thoughts.

We wish to join our TEDx-ers and sharing appreciation to our roots, our inspirations, our sense of creativity and limitless.

Ms. Zean Vo

Innovator, Entrepreneur, Creator.

Co-Founder at Browzzin

Founder of FeelingMiracle (Non-profit Project)

Born and raised in Nha Trang, Vietnam, Zean is the co-founder & director of Browzzin – an award-winning London and Singapore based fashion tech company whose mission is to create an innovative influencer-driven shopping platform for the offline and online fashion retail industry. Browzzin has been awarded Top 50 Tech Company at Intercon 2019 and nominated for Best Digital Innovation during Drapers Digital Award UK, competing against world-renown fashion players such as Farfetch, BESTSELLER, Zalando SE and NET-A-PORTER.

Before devoting her work fulltime to Browzzin, Zean worked as a regional project manager at Zalora - taking on several digital transformation projects for the SEA’s fashion e-commerce giant such as launching the ZALORA(Online) Fashion Magazine across 8 countries and leading several important brand launches for the group.

With a bachelor degree in Design, Image, and Communications from Lasalle College of the Arts, Zean also served as a multi-disciplined creative professional, leading a variety of roles from gallery curator to commercial photographer and art director. Her photography work has been recognized as Honorable Mention two times at the International Photography Award. She recently currently completed her further study at MIT Sloan School of Management with an emphasis on Computer Science & Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL) - Implications for Business Strategy.

In October 2019, Zean was selected for Obama Foundation Asia-Pacific Leadership Program 2019 – a one-year leadership development and civic engagement program that seeks to inspire, empower, and connect 200 emerging leaders from across the Asia-Pacific region as they lead and create positive changes for their community.

Mr. Pham Van Duoc

Community Development/ Core member at Vulcan Augmetics 

Duoc is a community developer at Vulcan Augmetics a startup with the goal of providing easy access to prosthetic products for the disabled community in Vietnam and developing countries. 

He is passionate about helping people who are in similar situations like him, whereas living seems to be harder without supports from prosthetic products. Yet, disabilities should not be acknowledged as a disadvantage, perhaps it should be known amongst individuals and our society that this is a chance that we can make a difference and seek out positive approaches to more creations of the world. 

Additionally, he has been highly active with campaigns about the environment and society. His ambition is to create a community where people can exert their unique values.

11 years of experience in the field of design, worked in design companies, consulted brand strategies for leading brands such as Richard Moore Associates, participated in big projects organized by The Sunhouse Corporation, Thái Bình Seed, FHI 360 (formerly known as Family Health International), Kosy Group…4 years of experience in design consultancy and training for industries at recognized units, such as The Bảo Việt Group, the Department of Trade Promotion at the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and Rio Class. Author of ‘Họa sắc Việt từ tranh Hàng Trống’ - the first Vietnamese book to provide the methodology for research, design, and application of traditional patterns in the design field.

Dr. Alexander Tú

"Dance embodies creativity which allows our mind, body and soul to unite for great possibilities" - Dr. Alexander Tu.

A choreographer and dancer with over 18 years of experience. His choreography portfolio includes the renowned Vietnam stage production, Duyen Dang Viet Nam 26 and the Vietnam The World Tour; multiple artists in Vietnam and Asia including Thu Minh, Ho Ngoc Ha, Hoang Thuy Linh and Jessica Reynoso, etc.. 

A former Kaba Modern and KM Legacy executive director, which was placed Top 3 of MTV’s “America’s Best Dance Crew” reality show. He has received a bachelor degree in Psychology from the University of California (Irvine), then he gained his Master degree in Occupational Therapy from Loma Linda University, (California). And now, he has obtained his Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy. 

Director of Performing Arts at SOUL Music & Performing Arts Academy (SMPAA); Judge and Performance Director at various top reality shows in Vietnam and Asia, such as So You Think You Can Dance Vietnam, Vietnam Idol, Vietnam’s Got Talent, Star Academy, Super 24, Dance Delight Singapore (2016), etc...14 years of experience in training and performing around the world, including top 3 America's Best Dance Crew, Founded The Lyricist, The VERSE, The International Dance Competition.

As someone who's growing up with Vietnamese melody, meaning, Dr. Alexander Tú and The Lyricist have a mission is 'From Meaning To Movement', Bringing a factful yet beautiful message about Humanity and What does Vietnam add to Humanity through Movements. This will spark the passion for a better living experience upon a moment in time yet the touching feeling remains infinite.
