You’re invited to get inspired at the latest TEDx event - YOUNIVERSE in Hanoi, taking place on June 11, 2023 at Au Co Art Center!

This year's theme is YOUniverse. It refers to the idea that the universe we live in is not something external or separate from us, but rather a reflection of our inner selves. It emphasizes the interconnectedness of all things, and that the world we experience is a projection of our thoughts, beliefs, and actions. This theme encourages us to explore our own personal universes and to recognize the impact we have on the larger world. It also highlights the importance of self-awareness, mindfulness, and personal responsibility in shaping the world around us. Ultimately, the YOUniverse theme challenges us to consider how we can transform ourselves to create a more positive and harmonious world for all.

An Nguy

Influencer and vlogger

An Nguy (Ngụy Thiên An) is an influential vlogger in Viet Nam, who has managed to captivate her audience with fascinating content on lifestyle and parenting. She has gained immense popularity and recognition in the digital world through her unique personal style and showing true personality. An Nguy has been nominated for multiple digital content awards, which is a testament to her immense talent, hard work, and dedication.

Anh Duc Nguyen

Director and producer

Nguyen Duc Anh, also known as Andrew, is a multi-talented individual who has made an impact in several fields. He is a popular YouTuber and travel vlogger with two channels - A Flying Andrew TV and Andrew Bay Bổng, showcasing his love for travel and exploring new cultures. Andrew is also the founder of Nanobook, an audiobook app that has been recognized as one of the top 10 best startups of V3 Track Asia 2020. In addition to his entrepreneurial ventures, Andrew is an accomplished director and producer. He has worked on numerous Music Videos, Fashion commercials for high-profile clients such as Chau Bui, Helly Tong, VinFast, Cartier, Louis Vuitton, Channel, Japan Airlines, and many more.

Bao Duc Bui

Master of ceremonies

Bui Duc Bao was chosen as the best host for the VTV Awards 2022. After graduating as a technician from Hanoi University of Science and Technology, he decided to pursue his passion of becoming a master of ceremonies. Duc Bao has made a reputation for himself at both domestic and international events and festivals. His perception of self-worth and belief that "one can't be anonymous" have helped him succeed in his area and promote himself as a role model for the next generation. He demonstrated how self-belief can assist someone discover the confidence and stamina to push themselves to new boundaries.

Chi Ngan Pham

High school student

A talented 11th grader from Hanoi's Pham Hong Thai High School who has always had an interest for debate and English competitions. She has demonstrated strong critical thinking and communication abilities throughout her education, which has helped her compete in numerous debate competitions. She has grown interested in stereotypes and cultural ideas of beauty as an individual. She has always been fascinated by the many ways that various cultures define beauty and the ways that stereotypes might have an impact on particular people or communities. She is an extraordinary student who can change the world because of her curiosity and open-mindedness.

Duy To

Basketball-passionate businessman

Duy To is a successful businessman and entrepreneur, but his true passion lies in basketball. He strongly believes in the power of sports to unite people and create a sense of community, and has devoted himself to expanding basketball's reach in Vietnam. Duy To founded The New Quarter, a high-quality basketball court designed for young Vietnamese people. He also organized two major competitions - the Hanoi Basketball Championship in 2022 and the Vietnam ProAm Basketball Championship in 2023, which were both well-received by the public. As part of the commitment to giving back to the community, Duy To also set up free basketball classes that cater to the needs of underprivileged children. He is determined to provide access to quality sports programs to all children in Vietnam, regardless of their social or economic background.

Ha Thanh Cao

Vocal coach

Thanh Ha Cao is a bilingual MC/Voice coach/Vocal coach that has years of experience in public speaking and vocal performance. She used to work as an English radio announcer at VOV World (The Voice of Vietnam) and a Vietnamese editor at KBS World Radio (Seoul, South Korea). At the 2018 National Radio Festival, she won a Golden Prize in the Live Broadcast Category and the Best MC award. As a vocal coach, Ha has been helping her students excel in singing both Vietnamese and English language songs. In 2022, Ha was vocal coach for the Vietnamese cast of Alice in Wonderland Musical and Cai Tet cua Meo Con (Kitty’s first Lunar New Year) Musical, both produced by The YOUniverse Creative Academy.

Linh Thuy Luong

Miss World Vietnam 2019

Luong Thuy Linh is a passionate Vietnamese beauty queen, lecturer and influencer. She has always been passionate about modelling and pageantry, and her hard work paid off when she was crowned Miss World Vietnam 2019. However, she doesn't want to end there. Thuy Linh is committed to inspiring and empowering young people in Vietnam to chase their dreams and passions like she does. She is actively using social media to share her journey, experiences, and knowledge with her followers, showing them that anything is possible with hard work and determination. Through her platform and influence, she is driving change and making a positive impact on people's lives.

Minh Ngoc Pham

High school student

A former debater who has been passionate about public speaking and debating since 2018. During her time in the debate club, she honed her skills and gained extensive knowledge on a wide range of topics. However, Ngoc Minh has a tendency to come up with unusual and sometimes unpleasant theories when she's in the mood. Her out-of-the-box thinking often results in controversial debates and discussions. Despite this, people are drawn to her unique and fresh perspective.

Phuong Nguyen

High school student

A 17-year-old student from Vietnam's Le Quy Don high school is highly interested in how the human mind may lead us to believe falsehoods. She wants a deeper comprehension of people's feelings and thoughts. She is incredibly inquisitive and enjoys studying psychology. She is on a quest for self-discovery and a quest to learn more about the mind.

Thu Minh Tran

High school student

A bright and curious high schooler from Phan Dinh Phung school, Hanoi, who has taken a deep interest in the science of attraction. Having spent long hours studying the psychological aspect of attraction, she has developed a keen understanding of human connection and interaction. She is an ambitious learner who is eagerly seeking to apply her insights to help individuals find love and build meaningful relationships.

Yenly Tran

International Etiquette Expert

Tran Yenly is a certified International Etiquette Expert, with a particular focus on cross cultural communication. Born into a diplomatic family in Vietnam, Yenly grew up across 4 different continents between Vietnam, Sweden, Japan, England, Belgium, America and even sometimes in the Philippines. In 2016, after returning from the UK with her Etiquette training certification. Yenly founded Etik Academy - the first etiquette academy in Vietnam, with the goal of introducing international etiquette and cross cultural communication to individuals, corporations, and educational institutes, helping her clients to confidently integrate into an international world. Some of Yenly’s clients include Vingroup, United Nation, Forbes Vietnam, Techcombank, Vietinbank and many more.
