Stand-up Hanoi presents WES ZAHARUK (CAN)

With the summer on its way, Stand-Up Hanoi is returning with a night of hilarious stand-up headlined by Canadian comic, Wes Zaharuk.

The self-styled Prop Man, Zaharuk is a one-man tour de force who combines routines with power tools, bananas, vaccum cleaners, toilet paper and film noir to create the type of show not yet seen in this city. Described as “A rib-tickling dive into the surreal,” by Channel 4 UK and “Twin Peaks meets Cirque Du Soleil,” by the Toronto Sun, Zaharuk’s award-winning eccentric collection of eye-popping prop tricks have earned him a world-wide reputation for a tornado-like approach to comedy.

Expect this to be utter mayhem.

Also on stage will be Southeast Asian based comics Sam See and Justin Heyes.

Described as “quick-witted” by The Straits Times, Singapore-based Sam See is part of Asia's new wave of stand-up comedians, with the wit, snark, and liver capacity to entertain audiences from all across the globe. He has also performed in numerous comedy festivals, including the Singapore Comedy Fringe Festival, Manila Improv Festival and the Magner's International Comedy Festival.

British-born Justin Heyes is a storyteller; his honest reflections of his own experiences never fail to entertain a diverse array of audiences, putting him in constant demand.

Based in Malaysia, he has performed to audiences in Malaysia, Singapore, Cambodia, the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Brunei, Myanmar, Australia and the UK. He is also the first English comic to perform stand up in Bahasa on Malaysian television when he appeared twice on Komediri, although when he comes to Hanoi expect him to perform in English.
